Sustainable project management – between long-term and short-term\/<\/strong>
Nachhaltiges Projektmanagement \u2013 Zwischen Langfristigkeit und Kurzfristigkeit<\/p>\n

Sustainability is gaining in importance due to global changes, such as climate change and a scarcity of resources. This trend does not stop in economy and management, so the question has been raised of how to include this concept. This master thesis approaches this issue by discussing the possibilities of sustainability in the field of project management and the related challenges.<\/p>\n

“New Work concepts put to the test – a qualitative study to examine modern forms of work”\/<\/strong>
\u201eNew Work Konzepte auf dem Pr\u00fcfstand \u2013 eine qualitative Studie zur Untersuchung moderner Arbeitsformen\u201c<\/p>\n

The megatrend New Work is currently on everyone’s lips. While the focus is mostly on the effects in terms of job satisfaction or the degree of dissemination of new forms of work
the question arises as to how new work and organisational concepts can be developed and have an impact on companies. The present research work therefore examines the organisational impact of the introduction of New Work concepts.<\/p>\n

On the basis of three companies, the concepts of decentralization of decision-making competencies and the introduction of an organizational democracy are investigated with regard to the effects on decision-making processes using qualitative methods. As can be seen, the consequences and influencing factors are very diverse. The research results indicate consequences for the speed of decision-making processes, the strengthening of mutual behaviour among employees and managers, and the use of escalation paths and situations of non-decision making.<\/p>\n

“Change in the world of work and the associated importance of soft skills”\/<\/strong>
\u201eVer\u00e4nderung der Arbeitswelt und die damit einhergehende Bedeutung von Soft Skills\u201c<\/p>\n

TELE has helped me in this respect, as I have generally gained new insights into the topic of New Work. Also, the practical relevance of how a company goes through such a development and the associated background. This farsightedness as well as the will to change and the resulting topics were also very exciting for me.<\/p>\n

It is generally exciting to see how an organization can change and what comes out of it.<\/p>\n

“The role and impact of key people in innovation management”\/<\/strong>
\u201eDie Rolle und Wirkung von Schl\u00fcsselpersonen im Innovationsmanagement\u201c<\/p>\n

The creation and development of innovative solutions is considered an important prerequisite for the long-term success of any company. While innovation-friendly structures and processes certainly promote innovation behaviour within an organisation, it is above all so-called key people who shape the corporate culture with certain personality traits and thus drive innovative thinking and action.<\/p>\n

This thesis deals with aspects of entrepreneurship and corporate entrepreneurship research as well as relevant behavioural science aspects in order to question and analyse the significance and impact of such key persons.<\/p>\n

Radical change. The transformation of the organizational depth structure – case study based on the technology company Tele Haase\/<\/strong>
Radical Change. Die Transformation der organisationalen Tiefenstruktur \u2013 Fallstudie anhand des Technologieunternehmens Tele Haase<\/p>\n

The transformation process of TELE is an exceptional example of radical change processes:\u00a0The company transformed from a traditional, hierarchical organization based on the “machine model” to an agile, self-organized, meaning-driven organization based on the model of the “living organism”. This is outstanding because radical change projects often fail in practice: innovative organizational concepts are often introduced, but there is a relapse into old patterns as soon as the consultants have left the company.\u00a0A scientific explanation for the lack of a sustainable effect is that superficially implemented changes contradict the fundamental rules of the organization, which as generative mechanisms determine the characteristics on the surface. How this – mostly unconscious – deep structure of the organization can be transformed has been little researched so far. The individual case study of the change process of TELE is a contribution to this research gap.\u00a0The results show – structured according to the sub-processes of organisational identity formation – the strategies for coping with radical change and the effects on the deep structure of the organisation. The intensive debates on areas of tension and discrepancies within the workforce have been shown to be a key success factor.<\/p>\n
