Start-up suppression for DC motors
The starting resistor of a DC motor has to be bypassed for regular operations, but no additional control voltage is available.
The on-delayed timing relay controls the bypass of the starting resistor of a DC motor and switches off the protective relay and, thus, the resistor after a defined period of time. The timing relay is operated using the motor operating voltage ranging from 150 to 440V DC.
– Timing relay supplied with power directly via the motor’s supply
– No additional costs for a power supply unit
– Space savings
