- The function of the lighting in a passenger lift is monitored. If all lights fail, the lift may no longer be used.
- The E3IM is configured with the “under” function so that the current from a single lamp will exceed the threshold and trip the output relay. If the last lamp in a lift car fails, it may not be operated for legal reasons. The current monitoring relay provides this “zero current detection”.
