Make assurance double sure

A delivering system equipped with two sets of pumps does not give a 100% security for an ideal operating condition. The new control relay from TELE is designed for a balanced distribution of duty. This will assure reliability for the backup-pump. The TELE pump-alternator is a compact alternative for all system sizes on a high technical standard.

Double equipped sytems are very common for special reasons. In case of machine breakdown the systems functions can still be maintained by the backup system (pump). The machine maintainance does not have any effects on the system duty run it is done while the backup system is working.

Another scenario would be a short term delivery peak. This problem can be solved by letting the backup pump support the main system. In case of a high amount of transported liquids the two pumps are operating parallelly at the same time.

In case of not equally distributed duty, the primary goal of an ideal sytem run can not be assured. To rely on the backup pump, it is necessary that the backup pump is and also stays in a perfect condition. Delivery pumps that have been shut down for a longer time can be effected by corrosion and so not be able to work at all. So the worst case scenario would be the backup pump is broken in the only time it is really needed.

The key is: Periodical use of the reserve aggregate. Through even distributed duty, such problems as described cannot occur and also maintainance of both pumps can be scheduled as a single event.

With the new TELE special-relay G2ASMA20 a good condition for both, bigger and smaller systems can be secured. The pump-alternator is a compact device not like conventional solutions that solve the problem by connecting a couple of components. The width is only 22,5mm and the alternator is easily integrated into an already existing system or an upcoming system, without great efforts in connecting the new device.

The device of GAMMA series is providing balanced distribution of duty, where both aggregates are alternately used when delivery is demanded. Parallel duty is activated by a signal of an external sensor, or the second pump turns on after a time delay. This is assigned with a simple turn with the screwdriver on the pump-alternator.

The switching performance was optimized for the highest system protection. In case of parallel duty both pumps are switched on and off time delayed (2 seconds) to protect pipes from pressure peaks and electric mains from load peaks.

Not only operations but also adaptability were optimized. Pluggable power modules allow the use within 400V~ supply voltage. The outputs are implemented as change-over contacts to provide the right switching alternative in any case.
